Indika Prematunga

Indika Prematunga has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Indika is currently the Director and Co-Founder of DIGIServices since June 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Group Director at Ceyline Group starting in October 2018. Indika also co-founded and served as a Director at InsureMe.lk since September 2016 and held the position of Director at Smiles Global from March 2016.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Indika held the position of Chief Financial Officer at AIA Insurance Lanka PLC / AVIVA NDB INSURANCE PLC from March 2012 to March 2016. Indika was responsible for leading the Finance and Actuarial functions of the organization, as well as strategizing and planning for the entity. Indika also actively engaged with key stakeholders including regulators and shareholders.

Prior to AIA Insurance, Indika served as the GM Finance and Planning / CFO at Union Assurance PLC from August 2007 to March 2012. Before that, they held roles as Group Finance Manager and Group CFO at Ceyline Group of Companies from July 2005 to August 2007. Indika also worked as the Group Finance Manager at Ceyline Group during the same period.

Overall, Indika Prematunga has a strong background in finance and leadership, with experiences in both corporate and entrepreneurial settings.

Indika Prematunga completed a Master's Degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Colombo from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, General from the postgraduate institute of management (PIM) between 2003 and 2005. Indika obtained a degree in Finance from the University of Sri Jaya from 1998 to 2002. Furthermore, from 1997 to 2000, they earned a degree in FCMA from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, specializing in Management Accounting and Financial Accounting. Finally, they achieved "Finalist" status at CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing.
