Samuel Basanta Lopez

Samuel Basanta Lopez is a seasoned executive in the energy sector, currently serving as the Spain Managing Director at INTEC Energy Solutions since October 2025, where responsibilities include overseeing strategy and operations in Spain, as well as leading the High Voltage Business Unit. Prior to this role, Samuel held the position of Operations Director at Elecnor Group from March 2024 to October 2025, managing operations for the Energy Business Unit across Europe. From January 2021 to May 2024, Samuel was the Project Director for EnergyConnect in Elecnor Australia, successfully delivering a major 700km high voltage transmission line that significantly enhanced renewable energy capacity and job creation in regional NSW. Earlier in career, Samuel served in leadership roles at Elecnor, including Senior Project Manager for renewable plants in Africa and Operations Director overseeing energy projects in Australia. Samuel holds an Executive MBA from IE Business School and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Pontificia Comillas.
