Parimala Nagaraja has a diverse work experience in the field of biosciences. Parimala is currently a Senior Scientist NGS at INTEGRA Biosciences, starting in June 2023. Prior to this, they worked at MEDGENOME where they held various roles, including Scientist-NGS from December 2022 to May 2023, Assistant Manager-NGS from June 2021 to November 2022, and Research Associate from April 2020 to May 2021. Before MEDGENOME, Parimala was a Research Associate at Avellino Lab from June 2019 to March 2020. Parimala also worked at Clear Labs as a Research Assistant in Molecular Biology from July 2018 to May 2019. Parimala started their career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Houston-Clear Lake from August 2017 to May 2018. Parimala also gained teaching experience as an Assistant Professor at Brindavan College from February 2012 to April 2016, where they taught B. Sc and M. Sc students and mentored final semester students. Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant on a project funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, from March 2012 to May 2013. Parimala began their career as a Research Intern at ENSTBB Bordeaux INP from January 2011 to December 2011, where they were involved in a project focused on the development of scFv fragments for molecular imaging of vulnerable plaques in atherosclerosis.

Parimala Nagaraja pursued their education in the field of Biotechnology and Genetics. Parimala began their academic journey at Bangalore University from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained their Bachelor's degree. Afterward, they attended Vellore Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2011, where they earned their Master's degree in Biomedical Genetics. Lastly, they pursued further studies at the University of Houston-Clear Lake from 2016 to 2018, where they completed their Master's degree in Biotechnology.
