Johnny Flowers

Johnny Flowers has extensive experience in software development and leadership roles.

Starting in 2015, they worked at ArcherDX, Inc. as a Software Engineer, where they focused on full stack web development and collaborated with bioinformaticians, infrastructure engineers, and molecular biologists. Johnny also served as a Group Lead for a small team of web and infrastructure engineers, where they implemented automated testing, coding standards, and Scrum ceremonies. Johnny later became an Associate Director, leading UX design maturation and acting as the UI Product Owner for Archer's flagship SaaS product.

In 2020, Johnny joined Invitae, where they served as an Associate Director, responsible for oncology web applications. Johnny led a large development effort to modernize Archer Analysis's software architecture, migrating from a monolith to a multi-container cloud-native architecture. Johnny utilized technologies such as Docker, Terraform, AWS Batch, and AWS Step Functions.

Currently, Johnny is the Director of Software at Integrated DNA Technologies, where they oversee the Archer Products.

Johnny Flowers attended the UofSC South Carolina Honors College from 2002 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Additionally, they received certifications in Scrum Master and Scrum Product Owner from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile in April 2020.
