David Opar, PhD.

David Opar, PhD has diverse work experience in various industries. David recently joined Integrated Graphene as a Development Scientist in October 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Dongguk University as a PhD Researcher from February 2017 to February 2021. During their PhD research, they focused on the assessment of Mesoporous Graphene-Based Electrocatalysts for High Performance Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries. David'sresearch expertise includes nanomaterials synthesis, characterization, and electrochemical systems.

Before their PhD, they worked as a Petroleum Geochemist at the National Oil Corporation of Kenya from July 2013 to July 2018. In addition, they worked as a Graduate Trainee at the Kenya Revenue Authority for a brief period in June 2013. David also gained experience as a Quality Control Intern at Kenya Pipeline Co. Ltd from May 2011 to July 2011, where they analyzed and tested the quality of petroleum products and familiarized himself with international standards in quality testing.

David Opar, PhD, has a diverse and accomplished education history. David started their education journey at Dagoretti High School, where they obtained a Certificate in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education in 2006. Building on this foundation, they then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Chemistry at Kenyatta University from 2008 to 2012.

Seeking further specialization, David moved to Newcastle University, where they completed a Master of Science degree in Petroleum Geochemistry from 2014 to 2015. This provided him with in-depth knowledge and expertise in the field.

Eager to pursue advanced research and contribute to the academic community, David enrolled in Dongguk University, where they focused on Material Chemistry. Here, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Advanced Functional Nanohybrid Materials from 2017 to 2020. This program enabled him to delve into cutting-edge research and make significant contributions to the field.

Throughout their education, David has consistently demonstrated a commitment to gaining knowledge and expertise in various areas of chemistry. David'seducational background equips him with a solid foundation and specialized training, making him an accomplished and capable professional in their field.
