Electroanalytical Development Scientist at Integrated Graphene

Yousillya Bunga has a wide range of work experience in various fields. In 2010, they worked as a Fundraiser for Champions Life Academy. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Placement Student at British American Tobacco. In 2013, Yousillya joined Durham University as a Researcher PhD Student, specializing in the synthesis and characterization of metallic nanoparticles. During their time at the university, they also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant until 2017. After completing their PhD in 2019, Yousillya worked as a Chemistry Teacher (trainee) at St Benet Biscop Catholic Academy. In 2019, they became a Science Teacher at Bartley Green School, where they developed and delivered lessons in chemistry and physics. In 2020, Yousillya took on two roles simultaneously. Yousillya worked as an Electrochemist Consultant at BiotIP Ltd, contributing to a project on digitalizing paper-based lateral flow assays tests. Yousillya also joined Aegirbio UK Ltd as an Electrochemist, conducting experiments and developing electrochemical biosensors. Currently, Yousillya is working as an Electroanalytical Development Scientist at Integrated Graphene, where they are involved in the development of electroanalytical methods.

Yousillya Bunga began their education in 2009 at the University of Hull, where they earned a Bachelor of Chemistry degree with honors in Chemistry (Industrial Option) in 2013. Yousillya then pursued further studies at the University of Durham from 2013 to 2019, completing their Doctor of Philosophy degree in the Faculty of Science with a specialization in Chemistry.
