Barbara Thornton

Barbara Thornton is an experienced laboratory professional with a robust career spanning over four decades. Currently serving as Division Laboratory Director at HCA Integrated Regional Labs since May 2014, Barbara has held leadership roles at HCA as a Director since January 2001. Previous positions include Admin Director of Lab at IRL - JFK Medical Center (2000 - April 2014), Lab Director at IRL (2000 - 2010), and Lab Director at Broward Health (1991 - 2001). Barbara began a career in the medical technology field as a System Specialist at Technicon from 1980 to 1990. Barbara holds two Bachelor of Science degrees in Medical Technology, one from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (1967 - 1970) and the other from Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine (1970 - 1971).
