Joseph Young

Executive Vice President, IES, Houston at Integrative Emergency Services

Dr. Joe Young serves as Executive Vice President for IES Houston. He is the Chief of Emergency Medicine at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center and is responsible for Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center – McNair Campus, and Emergency Centers Holcombe and Pearland in Houston, Texas. Dr. Young previously served as the Medical Director at Baylor Scott & White in Carrollton, Texas, and as the Medical Director at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Young won the Dighton Packard Leadership Award in 2018 and was nominated for the DFW Hospital Council Physician of the Year award in 2019. He is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, serves as Co-Chair of the Texas College of Emergency Physicians’ Resident Track, and is the IES Administrative Fellowship Director. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, followed by his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at LECOM-Bradenton in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. As chief resident, Dr. Young completed his residency at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas, in 2013, and then completed a two-year Administrative Fellowship with IES.
