Boyang Zhou

Boyang Zhou, Ph.D., is a seasoned laser research and development engineer currently serving as a Sr. Laser R&D Engineer at Integer Holdings Corporation since July 2022, focusing on light-matter interactions relevant to medical device applications. Previously, Boyang Zhou worked as a Research Assistant at CREOL-The College of Optics & Photonics from August 2017 to May 2022, where design and development of optical systems for laser processing were key responsibilities, alongside physical modeling using Matlab to investigate laser ablation mechanisms. Earlier experience includes research assistant roles at Emory University and Harbin Institute of Technology, contributing to modeling electron dynamics in nanomaterials and developing advanced spectroscopy systems for combustion studies, respectively. Boyang Zhou holds a Ph.D. and Master's in Optical Engineering from the University of Central Florida, and a Master's and Bachelor's in Optical Engineering and Electronic Science and Technology from Harbin Institute of Technology.
