Mercedes Varas

Mercedes Varas has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Mercedes is currently employed at IntelAgree as a Software Implementation Services specialist since October 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Starcom Computer Corporation as an Application Implementation and Support Engineer from August 2019 to February 2020.

Between 2015 and 2019, Mercedes worked at Kipu Health as a Senior Software Implementation Manager. Their responsibilities included customizing, implementing, and training clients on Kipu Systems for the addiction counseling industry. Mercedes also provided support to junior implementers and new hires.

Before joining Kipu Health, Mercedes worked at MdFlow as an EMR Trainer and Medical Coder from January 2014 to March 2015. Mercedes then moved on to Hygea Health Holdings as an MRA Coder and member of the HEDIS Management Team from December 2012 to January 2014.

Mercedes also gained experience in medical coding and HEDIS management at ChenMed, where they worked as an MRA Medical Coder and was part of the HEDIS Management Team from December 2008 to December 2012. Their career began at Continucare Corporation, where they worked as a Medical Coder from August 2005 to December 2008.

Mercedes Varas completed a certification program in Medical Insurance Coding Specialist/Coder at APPC ICD-10 bootCamp in 2014. Mercedes also obtained a certification in the same field from NCT in 2005. In addition to these certifications, Mercedes Varas is AAPC ICD-10 Certified and holds a CPC certification from AAPC.
