Amadeu Barbosa Jr has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Amadeu started their career as an undergraduate student researcher at the Universidade Federal da Bahia, where they worked on projects related to grid computing and fingerprint recognition. Amadeu later became a system network administrator at the same university, where they were responsible for maintaining and improving the IT infrastructure.

In 2006, Amadeu co-founded Colivre, a technology company that only works with free software solutions based on solidarity economy principles. After two years, they moved on to Tecgraf / PUC-Rio, where they held various positions including software engineer, software project coordinator, and lead programmer. At Tecgraf, they worked on projects related to logistics in the oil and gas industry, as well as the development of the OpenBus project.

Currently, Amadeu is working at INTELIE by Viasat as a software development manager. Amadeu manages a team of software engineers focused on data integration, storage, and protocols for the Intelie LIVE platform. Amadeu'sresponsibilities include overseeing the architecture of the data-stream product, utilizing a range of industry-centric technologies, storage technologies, and data processing tools. Amadeu also handles DevOps infrastructure, design, and team building activities. Amadeu's strategic goal is to enable operational AI using an Edge Computing approach.

Throughout their career, Amadeu has demonstrated expertise in various technologies and frameworks, including React, WebSockets, Java, Spring, Hibernate, and Python. Amadeu is experienced in utilizing GitLab, Docker, AWS, Azure, Ansible, and Slack automations for DevOps infrastructure. Amadeu is also familiar with design systems like Figma and project management tools like JIRA.

Amadeu Barbosa Jr obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Universidade Federal da Bahia, which took place from 2002 to 2007. Later, from 2007 to 2009, they pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro.
