Lal Ninan

Lal Ninan, PhD, currently serves as Vice President of Regulatory CMC at Intellia Therapeutics, Inc. since August 2022. Prior experience includes roles at Orchard Therapeutics, where Lal held the positions of Vice President of Regulatory Sciences - CMC and Senior Director & Head of Regulatory CMC from September 2019 to August 2022. Lal has also worked at Dermira, Inc. as Executive Director of Regulatory Affairs, overseeing strategic regulatory leadership for late-stage biologic and topical products, and at Achaogen as Senior Director of CMC Regulatory Affairs, focusing on antibiotic products and diagnostic devices. Previous positions at Genentech involved roles as Program Director and Associate Program Director, while earlier experience includes regulatory affairs roles at Medtronic and Cook Medical and a research internship at Zimmer Biomet. Lal earned a PhD in Biological/Biomedical Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering from Purdue University, as well as a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
