In 2016, they were a Data Analyst and Trainer at TipDM Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd, conducting data analysis training for university students and corporate employees. In 2017, they were a Statistical Analyst at Brilliant Data Analytics Inc. and a Data Mining Consultant at Huawei Technologies. Jie Peng Ren obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Criminology from Lancaster University between 2011 and 2014. They then went on to pursue a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Criminological Research at the University of Cambridge from 2014 to 2015. In 2018, they obtained a Deep Learning A-Z\u2122: Hands-On Artificial Neural Networks certification from SuperDataScience, and a Machine Learning certification from Stanford University. In 2020, they obtained five certifications from the University of Alberta: Reviews & Metrics for Software Improvements, Agile Planning for Software Products, Client Needs and Software Requirements, Introduction to Software Product Management, and Software Processes and Agile Practices.
