Timothy McKinnon

Timothy Mckinnon is an accomplished program manager at IARPA, focusing on federal research and development in human language technology and AI since August 2021. Prior to this role, Timothy served as the lead data scientist at Quantitative Scientific Solutions, specializing in Natural Language Processing and machine learning from September 2018 to August 2021. Timothy's earlier experience includes developing data collection infrastructure at Perfecta and academic positions as an assistant research professor and assistant director at the University of Maryland, as well as a visiting assistant professor at the University of Delaware. Timothy has also held research roles at the American Institute for Indonesian Studies and the Max-Planck-Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology. Timothy holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Linguistics from the University of Delaware, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and Polish Language/Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
