Ghanshyam Poudel

Ghanshyam Poudel has a diverse range of work experience in the finance and accounting field. Starting in 2012, they worked as a Graduate Auditor at UHY Haines Norton, where they performed audits for entities listed on the ASX, as well as small to medium-sized entities and government agencies. In 2014, they moved on to BDO in Australia as an Audit Senior, where their responsibilities included completing daily audit and review engagements for ASX-listed entities and resolving auditing and accounting matters.

From 2015 to 2018, Ghanshyam worked at PwC Australia as a Senior Consultant, specializing in providing accounting services for IPO transactions and leading financial statement audits for multinational entities, ASX-listed companies, and SMEs. Ghanshyam then joined Hanson Australia as a Senior Financial Accountant in 2018.

In 2019, Ghanshyam joined The iQ Group Global, initially as a Group Reporting Manager and later as an Acting Director of Finance. In 2020, they were promoted to Associate Director of Finance, overseeing financial operations and reporting.

Most recently, Ghanshyam joined IBS Inc. in 2021 as the Director of Finance. In this role, they support M&A activities, prepares financial reports, manages the finance and accounting functions of the organization, and collaborates with external stakeholders. Ghanshyam has also achieved notable accomplishments, such as playing a key role in a $12M M&A deal, leading the finance aspects of a $29M IPO, and formulating an R&D tax incentive plan resulting in over $2.5M of tax offset.

Ghanshyam Poudel completed their education with a Graduate Diploma of the CA studies (GradDipCA) in Accounting and Finance from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce-Accounting (Honours) degree from Macquarie University between 2008 and 2011. In addition, they hold a certification as a Certified Sarbanes-Oxley Professional (CSOP) from the Chartered Institute of Professional Certifications, which was obtained in 2023.
