Maria Insa Iglesias

Maria Insa Iglesias has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Maria started their career as a Student Tutor in 2011 while also volunteering as an Expeditionary and Volunteer for Ruta Quetzal BBVA in 2011. Maria then worked as a Summer Camp Team Leader at Idiomes Pare Manyanet from 2013 to 2015. Maria participated as a Participant in BEST Barcelona events and competitions from 2015 to 2016. Maria also worked as a Marketing Strategist for Vilanova Formula Team, where they were responsible for graphic and merchandise design, product design, and sponsorship outreach from 2016 to 2017.

Maria's career in design and research started in 2017 when they joined Geckotech Solutions Limited as a Product Design Intern. Maria later became a Product Designer, where they collaborated with clients to establish new R&D project aims. Maria continued their design work as a UX Designer at Glasgow Caledonian University from 2018 to 2020, where they also worked as a Teaching Assistant. During this time, they conducted research on data visualization techniques and tools, developed a visualization tool, and published their findings.

In 2020, Maria worked as a UX Designer at Lupovis before joining Intelligent Growth Solutions (IGS) in 2023 as a Data Visualizer. Maria'sresponsibilities at IGS include creating visual representations of data. Overall, Maria's work experience showcases their expertise in data visualization, UX design, and product design.

Maria Insa Iglesias has an extensive education history. Maria obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree from Glasgow Caledonian University, specializing in Human Computer Interaction, Virtual Reality, and Artificial Intelligence. Maria pursued an Erasmus + Exchange Programme at the same university in 2017, focusing on the European Project Semester and completing a final project year. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2017, they attended Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where they earned an Engineer's degree in Industrial Design and Product Development Engineering. In 2015, they obtained an English certificate from Speak Up London, demonstrating their advanced level proficiency in the language. Maria also participated in the International English Summer School at Bournville College in 2013. Maria'seducational journey began at Pare Manyanet-Les Corts in Barcelona, where they completed their Technological Scientist High School education from 2011 to 2013.
