Trong Nguyen

Trong Nguyen is a Senior Scientist at Intelligent Optical Systems, Inc. since October 2016. Prior to this role, Trong served as a Postdoctoral researcher at the University at Buffalo, SUNY, focusing on molecule studies of stalled DNA replication fork repair. Trong completed a Ph.D. in Bioscience Engineering at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, where research centered on genome-wide studies of transcription regulators. An earlier position held was as an Associate researcher at Can Tho University - R&D Biotechnology Institute, where work involved DNA-based detection of pathogens and plant tissue culture. Trong's academic background includes a Master of Science in Molecular Biology from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and an internship at Michigan State University's GTSF, specializing in high-throughput sequencing and microarray hybridization.
