Jamie Chen

Jamie Chen is a highly experienced scientist specializing in analytical chemistry and wood science with a robust background in research and development. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at TCG GreenChem Inc. and a Senior Analytical Chemist at SGS Canada since 2021, Jamie has accumulated extensive expertise in amylose content testing and nano-starch studies during tenure at Intellipharmaceutics International and previous roles at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. Academic accomplishments include a PhD from the University of Toronto in Wood Science and Wood Products, as well as a PhD in Food Microbiology from South China University of Technology, supplemented by a Master's degree in Applied Chemistry. Jamie's research contributions also extend to nano cellulose fiber surface modification developed during a postdoctoral fellowship at the Biomaterials and Biocomposites Research Center, University of Toronto.
