Reena Bajaj has a diverse and extensive work experience. Reena started their career as an intern at Schlumberger, where they gained experience in data and consulting services. Reena then worked as a Software Developer at IBM. In 2009, Reena joined Vestas as a Simulation Engineer, analyzing data and providing insights to government stakeholders. Reena also worked at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Graduate Researcher, specializing in numerical modeling and simulation.
In 2010, Reena joined the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in Mumbai as a Fellow, where they analyzed data from research projects and provided insights to government stakeholders to inform the design and quality of the national primary mathematics education curriculum.
After that, Reena worked at Touch Press Inc. and Gousto as an intern in product QA and operations optimization respectively.
In 2013, Reena joined STIR Education as the Global Head of Data Insights and Impact. Reena shaped STIR's data strategy, launched the Insights and Impact function in multiple regions, managed a team, and successfully completed a World Bank-funded project.
From 2018 to 2023, Reena worked at Adthena as the Lead Data Scientist. Reena delivered technical projects, mentored a team, developed the data science roadmap, and implemented various projects that positively impacted Adthena's engagement and performance.
Currently, Reena holds the position of Principal Machine Learning Scientist at intelmatix, starting in 2023.
Reena Bajaj has an extensive education history. Reena obtained their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Petroleum Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, from 2002 to 2006. Reena then pursued their Master of Science (MS) in Computational and Applied Mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2008 to 2010. In 2009, Reena was an exchange student at the National University of Singapore, where they studied Computational Engineering as part of their MIT program. Reena also holds additional certifications, including "Data Science and Big Data Analytics: Making Data-Driven Decisions" from edX in 2017 and "Lean Data Approaches to Measure Social Impact" from NovoEd in 2015. Additionally, Reena has obtained several leadership and managerial certificates, such as "Leading and Motivating People with Different Personalities," "How to Be an Effective Remote Manager," and "Leading at a Distance" from LinkedIn in 2022. Reena has pursued additional studies at MIT, earning multiple Master's degrees, including one in Computational and Applied Mathematics.
