Mike Decherd

Mike Decherd is a highly experienced telecommunications professional with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as a Principal IP Traffic Engineer at Intelsat since November 2016, Mike specializes in capacity management and development of analytical tools for satellite networks using advanced technologies such as Python and MongoDB. Prior to this role, Mike worked at Cricket Wireless focusing on video functionalities for 4G networks and held multiple positions at AT&T, including responsibilities in network planning for the Giga Power High-Speed Internet and Ethernet Cell Site Backhaul Networks. Mike's background also includes key technical sales and support roles at Ericsson, where expertise was provided in managing customer solutions and support for mobility switches. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Florida.
