Álvaro Sánchez Bravo

Álvaro Sánchez Bravo has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and development. Álvaro started their professional career at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid as a Front-end Programmer, where they developed webpages using HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, and JQuery, as well as mobile apps with LUNGO and Phonegap. Álvaro then worked as a Junior Engineer at Huawei Technologies, where they were involved in Vodafone Pre-PO creation and antenna assignment.

After that, Álvaro joined BQ as a Devops Engineer and later as a Full Stack Developer. In these roles, they worked on projects such as the Bitbloq platform, where they programmed boards and robots using blocks, and SX, which aimed to automate the deployment of infrastructure. Álvaro used technologies like AngularJS, Go, and Java, and gained experience in DEVOPS responsibilities.

Following their time at BQ, Álvaro became a DEVOPS Engineer at Intelygenz. Álvaro was responsible for creating the infrastructure, particularly the Kubernetes bare metal cluster, and maintaining it. Álvaro also automated deployments using Ansible in AWX and utilized GlusterFS as persistent storage.

Later, Álvaro took on the role of Scrum Master, Backend Developer, and DEVOPS at Intelygenz. Álvaro worked on a project for an Energy company, where they analyzed and managed the project and also developed backends using Java Spring Boot and implemented DEVOPS practices with Kubernetes and AWS, alongside CI/CD using Gitlab.

In their current position at Intelygenz, Álvaro serves as the Technical Lead Engineer for a project involving Java SpringBoot and MongoDB for a leading Spanish textile company. Álvaro focuses on defining technical requirements and architecture, with an emphasis on testing using ATDD with Cucumber.

Álvaro Sánchez Bravo obtained an Engineer's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, where they studied from 2008 to 2013. In 2014, they pursued further education at the same university and earned an Expert's degree in Mobile Communications and LTE.
