John Smith

John (J.D.) Smith has extensive experience in editorial roles, particularly in development economics and research. Since March 2000, John has been serving as an Assistant Editor in the Research Department of the Inter-American Development Bank, where responsibilities include editing over 400 working papers and manuscript editing for 13 books focused on Latin American development. Previous experience includes contributions as an author at Finishing Line Press and Cassowary Press, as well as roles as a freelance editor and contributor. John also worked as a Research and Editorial Associate at Euromonitor International, where market reports on several countries were produced. John holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Carleton University and an A.M. in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from the University of Chicago.
