Rui Hugman

Rui Hugman is a seasoned groundwater modeler with extensive experience in hydrological research and modeling. Currently serving as a Senior Groundwater Modeler at INTERA Incorporated since November 2022, Rui previously held positions including Research Fellow at Flinders University and Senior Groundwater Modeller at Umvoto Africa (Pty) Ltd. Rui's academic background consists of a PhD in Sea, Earth, and Environmental Sciences, a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering Technology, and a Bachelor in Environmental Engineering from the University of the Algarve. Key contributions include developing groundwater flow and transport models, interdisciplinary research during Cape Town's drought, and assessing ecological responses to climate change in coastal groundwater ecosystems.
