Mario Falvo

Mario Falvo, CPA CA CRM has extensive work experience in risk management, compliance, and financial roles. Mario began their career at Winoa as the Controller for North America Operations from June 2004 to September 2005. Mario then joined Meridian Credit Union, where they held various positions including Director & Corporate Controller from September 2005 to May 2010, Director of Risk Management Services from May 2010 to January 2011, Vice President of Internal Audit & Risk Management Services from January 2011 to May 2018, and Vice President of Risk Management & Compliance and Chief Anti-Money Laundering Officer (CAMLO) from June 2018 to March 2021. In 2018, they also served as the Chief Risk Officer and CAMLO at motusbank. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Financial & Risk Officer at Interac Corp. starting from March 2023.

Mario Falvo, CPA CA CRM holds an Honours Bachelor of Accounting degree from Brock University, with a specialization in Accounting and Finance. Mario obtained their CPA CA designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) in 1997. Mario also holds additional certifications, including the Associate Business Continuity Professional from DRI CANADA and the Canadian Risk Management (CRM) Designation from RIMS (Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc.), which they will obtain in 2024. Mario is also a member of Ten Thousand Coffees, a professional networking organization. Mario has also earned an Advanced Leadership Certificate from The Roundtable Inc.
