In the last 15 years, Saira has vast experience working with teams at IRD and with its partners in the piloting and scaling primary care, Communicable and Non-Communicable disease programs in Pakistan. She has been a core group member of the Global Drug Resistance TB Initiative under the STOP TB partnership.
She worked closely with multiple stakeholders to help develop the USD 173 million budget for the Global Fund Round 9 application for scaling up MDR-TB control in Pakistan. She was a private sector participant from Pakistan for Leadership for Universal Health Coverage (L4UHC) course – Asia Cycle. As part of her secondment to be part of the leadership team of the Global Health Directorate, Indus Hospital and Health Network, she initiated the comprehensive primary care model and scaled it to more than 20 sites across Pakistan.
