J. Ryan Grinnell-Ackerman has had a varied career in the health and political sectors. In 2019, they began working as the Director of Operations for InterCare Community Health Network. Prior to this, they worked for the Michigan Primary Care Association, starting in 2013. During their time there, they held the roles of Policy and Government Affairs Manager, Director of Operations and Policy, Policy and Workforce Development Manager, Workforce Development Specialist, and Program Coordinator. Before that, they were a Policy Intern for the same organization. In 2012, they were the Campaign Manager for Jeff Parsons for Oshtemo Township Clerk.
J. Ryan Grinnell-Ackerman completed a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Western Michigan University in 2013, with a focus in Non-Profit Leadership and Management. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Western Michigan University in 2009, majoring in English & Political Science.
