Lou van Vuuren

Lou Van Vuuren has extensive experience in finance and consulting roles. Lou started their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where they worked as an Associate Director from 1999 to 2007. Lou then joined GREAT BASIN GOLD as the Chief Financial Officer in 2008 and later became the Chief Executive Officer (interim) from August 2012 to November 2012. Lou also worked as an independent mining and financial consultant from December 2012 to August 2013. After that, they served as the Chief Financial Officer at Continental Coal Limited from September 2013 to February 2014. From March 2014 to March 2017, they worked as an independent financial consultant to the mining, healthcare, and property sectors. Lou is currently working at Intercare Group as the Chief Financial Officer since March 2015.

Lou Van Vuuren attended the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria from 1995 to 1999. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree, with a focus on Accounting and Finance. Lou also earned a degree in Accounting Sciences, known as B.Comm Acc, from the same institution during the same period. Additionally, Lou Van Vuuren received certification as a CA (SA) from the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, although the specific date of obtaining this certification is not provided.
