Sanjoy Chowdhury

Sanjoy Chowdhury is currently the Director at Intercedent Asia. Sanjoy has over 20 years of experience in the financial and economic sector. Prior to their current position, Chowdhury served as the FVP/Chief Economist of the Asia Pacific Region for Merrill Lynch from 1986 to 1996. In this role, they were responsible for providing macro-economic analyses and forecasts for major Asian economies. Sanjoy also served as the regional investment strategist between 1990 and 1994.

In 2013, Chowdhury became the CEO of the Singapore-Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SICCI). Sanjoy held this position for three months before returning to India due to family/personal obligations.

Chowdhury has a deep understanding of the financial and economic landscape of Asia. Sanjoy's experience and expertise have made him a valuable asset to Intercedent Asia.

Sanjoy Chowdhury has a Master's in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics, a BA in Economics from St. Stephen's College in Delhi, and an ISC in Science from St. Columba's High School.

They work with Ross O'Brien - Managing Director, Intercedent HK, Stephen Moore - Director, Precision Engineering and Chemicals & Plastics, and Richard Martin - Director, Southeast Asia. Sanjoy Chowdhury reports to Peter Baldwin, Managing Director.
