Paul Nitschmann

Paul Nitschmann has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Paul is currently the SVP of Regulatory Affairs at Intercept Pharmaceuticals since 2021. Prior to their current role, Paul held various positions at Amgen from 2016 to 2021, including Head of Global Regulatory Affairs Execution Team and Executive Director of Regulatory TA Head. Before that, they worked at Alcon, a Novartis company, as VP and Head of BD&L and Early Development Regulatory Affairs, and as VP and Head of Regulatory Affairs Pharmaceuticals. Paul also served as Senior Director of North America Regulatory Affairs at Axcan Pharma and held several positions at Pfizer, including Senior Director and Strategy Line Manager. Paul'searlier experience includes working as a Medical Advisor at Organon Teknika.

Paul Nitschmann started their education at Het Rhedens Lyceum in 1970 and completed it in 1977. The degree and field of study for this particular education are not provided. Subsequently, they pursued a degree in Medicine at Erasmus University Rotterdam from 1977 to 1984.
