Sara Whipple

Sara Whipple has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Sara currently holds the position of Executive Director - Financial Planning & Analysis at Intercept Pharmaceuticals since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where they held the roles of Senior Director - US Commercial Financial Planning & Analysis from January 2022 to January 2023 and Director - US Commercial Financial Planning & Analysis from September 2020 to December 2021. Sara also had previous experience at Intercept Pharmaceuticals, serving as Associate Director - Managed Markets Financial Planning & Analysis from August 2019 to September 2020, Associate Director - Financial Planning & Analysis from February 2019 to August 2019, Senior Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis from July 2017 to February 2019, and Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis from December 2015 to July 2017. Prior to that, they worked at Eisai as a Manager - Marketing Finance from August 2015 to December 2015, and as a Senior Financial Analyst - Marketing Finance from October 2011 to August 2015. Sara began their career at Ernst & Young as a Senior Analyst - Valuation & Business Modeling from February 2010 to October 2011, and they also worked at KPMG as an Associate - Economic & Valuation Services from July 2006 to May 2008.

Sara Whipple received their Master of Business Administration degree from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Sara attended Duke from 2022 to 2024. Prior to this, they completed a Master of Science degree in Mathematics with an option in Mathematical Finance at Rutgers University from 2008 to 2009. Sara obtained their Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University from 2002 to 2006, majoring in Mathematics and Finance in the Honors Program.
