Christian Lindsay-Smith

Christian Lindsay-Smith has a diverse range of work experience spanning over 20 years. Christian started their career as a Trainee Butcher at Morrisons Supermarket before transitioning into the field of accounting. Christian worked as a Trainee Accountant at Dickinson Parker & Co Ltd, where they managed client portfolios and mentored junior team members. Christian then moved on to Edwards Chartered Accountants, where they worked as an Audit Senior and gained technical knowledge of UKGAAP and IFRS reporting standards.

Christian continued their career as an Auditor at Dains LLP, where they carried out external statutory audits for a variety of clients. Christian then joined BDO UK LLP as a Senior Auditor and Assistant Audit Manager. In this role, they executed audits and gained experience in team leadership.

Christian later transitioned to roles in the finance field. Christian joined the Online Entertainment Industry as a Finance Manager at Intouch Games Ltd, where they gained exposure to the nuances of the gambling industry. Christian then moved to Bionical, a Pharmaceutical VC backed company, initially as a Finance Manager for North 51 Ltd before being promoted to Group Finance Manager. In this role, they focused on improving accounting processes and balance sheet reconciliations.

Currently, Christian works at Intercity Technology Ltd as a Head of Finance. Their main achievements in this role include driving efficiencies in group reporting and building relationships with key stakeholders. Christian also manages relationships with external stakeholders such as insurance brokers, auditors, bankers, and key supplier partners.

Throughout their career, Christian has demonstrated a strong work ethic and an ability to adapt to different industries and roles. Christian has developed expertise in financial management, auditing, and process improvement.

Christian Lindsay-Smith attended FBT Business college from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained a degree in Accountancy (ACCA). Christian then enrolled in Babington business college, Lichfield, but no specific degree or field of study was provided. Additionally, Christian attended Torc High School in Tamworth and achieved GCSEs with an A in Maths, and C in English Language, Drama, and General Studies.

Christian also obtained certifications from Best Companies, including the Best Companies World Class Manager in June 2023 and the Best Companies Certified 3 Star Manager in March 2021.
