Bilal H.

Bilal H. has a diverse work background in IT support and infrastructure engineering. 👨‍💻 Bilal began their career as an IT Support Apprentice at an undisclosed company from October 2018 to December 2019. In this role, Bilal gained valuable experience in providing technical assistance and troubleshooting to end-users.

After completing their apprenticeship, Bilal joined MADE.COM in January 2020 as an IT Support Engineer. During their tenure, they made significant contributions to the company's IT infrastructure by deploying various solutions such as FortiClient VPN, Crowdstrike Falcon, and Mimecast Perimeter Defense. Additionally, Bilal played a key role in improving email deliverability and reputation through the implementation of industry best practices for SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. 👨‍💻 Bilal also migrated file shares to Synology Server and SharePoint, monitored AWS Direct Connect using AWS CloudWatch, and utilized Zabbix for IT systems and infrastructure monitoring.

In October 2021, Bilal was promoted to the position of IT Infrastructure Engineer at MADE.COM. In this role, they continued their project work while taking on additional responsibilities. These included creating and implementing various processes such as macOS Monterey upgrade, JAMF automation, and site-to-site VPN configurations. Bilal also project-managed the migration of on-premises Active Directory to the cloud and developed Python scripts for automating manual Service Desk processes.

Most recently, Bilal has joined Intercom as an IT Systems Engineer II starting in December 2022. Their responsibilities in this role are yet to be elaborated upon.

Bilal H. attended Leyton Sixth Form College from 2016 to 2018, where they obtained a BTEC IT (Software Development) Level 3 Extended Diploma. Prior to that, they attended Kelmscott School from 2011 to 2016, completing their GCSE studies.
