Damian Kelly

Damian Kelly is a highly experienced professional in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, currently serving as a Staff Machine Learning Scientist at Intercom since January 2024. Previously, Damian held the role of Distinguished Engineer in Artificial Intelligence and Ambient Computing at Optum, where expertise was applied in developing Ambient Home Healthcare solutions and implementing AI techniques in real-world scenarios. Other notable positions include Senior Principal Engineer and Senior Data Scientist at Optum, Data Scientist at Intel Labs, Founder & CEO of Informappics, and Machine Learning Consultant at Intel Corporation. Damian also has academic experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at NUI Maynooth and has contributed to education as an occasional lecturer and tutor. The educational background includes a Ph.D. and a B.E. in Electronic Engineering from the National University of Ireland and Maynooth University, respectively.
