Jan Giordano

Jan Giordano is the VP for Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Services at Intercommunity Action. Jan has over three decades of experience in the human services field, with a focus on quality assurance and compliance.

Jan began their career as a direct care worker in a group home for people with developmental disabilities. Jan quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a case manager and then a program director. In 2016, they joined Bellwether Behavioral Health as the Director of Quality & Integration. In this role, they were responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory, licensing, and organizational standards across Bellwether's 72 group homes and day service programs in three states. Jan developed and implemented a Continuous Quality Improvement Plan and QI systems organization-wide, and supervised and trained a team of 14 Quality Improvement Specialists. Jan also created and crafted QI auditing tools and conducted full QIS licensing reviews for all residential and vocational sites to identify areas in need of improvement.

In their current role as VP for Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Services at Intercommunity Action, Jan is responsible for all aspects of the organization's intellectual and developmental disabilities services, including budgeting, program development, staff training, and quality assurance. Jan is passionate about ensuring that people with developmental disabilities receive the highest quality of care possible.

Jan Giordano has a Master's degree in Education from Temple University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Temple University. Jan also has a certification from the State Of New Jersey Department of Education in Teaching Certificate - Teacher of the Handicapped.
