Subhajit Mitra

Subhajit Mitra has extensive work experience in the field of environmental management and impact assessment. Subhajit has held various roles in different organizations, starting from their position as a Deputy General Manager at Consulting Engineering Services (I) Pvt. Ltd. from November 2002 to July 2014. In this role, they gained 13 years of experience in conducting environmental impact assessment studies for infrastructure projects funded by the government and international funding agencies.

Following this, Subhajit worked as a General Manager (Environment) at Consulting Engineers Group Ltd. from August 2014 to April 2015. Subhajit then moved on to work as an Environmental Specialist at the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (India) - Inland Waterways Authority of India from April 2015 to August 2015.

Subsequently, Subhajit joined Intercontinental Consultants and Technocrats Pvt. Ltd., where they held various high-level positions. Subhajit started as a General Manager (Environment) in September 2015 and held this role until March 2022. Subhajit then served as the Chief General Manager (Environment) from April 2022 to March 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President at the same company, starting from April 2023.

Throughout their career, Subhajit Mitra has demonstrated expertise and experience in conducting environmental impact assessments for a range of infrastructure projects, including ports, highways, railways, and water resources.

Subhajit Mitra holds a Masters degree in Environment Management from the Indian Institute Of Social Welfare and Business Management, which they completed from 1999 to 2001. Subhajit also earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Environmental Science from EIILM University, Sikim from 2009 to 2011. Prior to these degrees, Subhajit obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application from the Regional Computer Centre (RCC), Calcutta between 1999 and 2001. Subhajit completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Zoology (Hons.), Chemistry & Botany from Rahara Ramakrishna Mission, Calcutta University from 1995 to 1998. Subhajit's education history began with their Higher Secondary certification in Science from Krishnagar Collegiate School, which they completed from 1993 to 1995. Lastly, they completed their secondary education from Krishnagar Collegiate School from the year 1984 to 1993.
