Gareth Vaughan

Gareth Vaughan is an experienced journalist with a robust background in business reporting and digital media. Currently serving as the Managing Editor and Banking Editor at Interest.co.nz since April 2010, Vaughan has previously held positions as a Business Reporter and Digital Business Editor at Fairfax Media from 2005 to 2010, and as a Business Reporter at NZ Herald from 2004 to 2005. Early career experiences include reporting roles at The Independent Business Weekly from 2002 to 2004, CBS MarketWatch & FT MarketWatch from 1998 to 2001, and a stint as an Assistant Language Teacher with the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program from 1994 to 1996. Vaughan holds a Master’s Degree in International Journalism from City, University of London, a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts from The University of Auckland, and various certifications in teaching English and Japanese language proficiency.
