Leo Paolini

Leo Paolini currently serves as the Head of Geospatial Strategy and Forest Ecology at New Zealand Carbon Farming Group, focusing on integrating geospatial data and forest dynamics into decision-making for carbon markets. Paolini also contributes as an Expert Reviewer for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, reviewing multiple chapters related to climate science. In addition, Paolini holds the position of Section Editor for Urban Remote Sensing at MDPI and co-founded Euphorbia Ltd, which utilizes blockchain for carbon credit verification. Previous roles include GIS Manager and Analyst at New Zealand Carbon Farming, and academic positions including Honorary Academic at The University of Auckland and Associate Professor at Universidad del Norte. Educational qualifications comprise a PhD in Ecology and a BSc in Biology, complemented by a background in Humanities.
