Interim Dance Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting professional performing artists—especially dancers—through transitional phases in their careers. Whether navigating gaps between gigs, shifting career paths, or rediscovering their artistry, Interim provides a space for dancers to move, grow, and connect without the financial burden.

We offer free, high-quality dance classes led by esteemed professionals, alongside creative opportunities like choreography labs, performance showcases, and community events. Our model removes financial barriers while prioritizing excellence, safety, and artistic fulfillment.

🩰 Why we exist:
Dancers in New York City often pay $25–$30 per class just to stay in shape for their next opportunity. For working artists, this can mean spending hundreds per month just to maintain their careers. At Interim, we believe artistic access should not depend on financial status.

🧠 How we serve:

Weekly free professional-level classes

Opportunities for choreographers to develop work with skilled dancers

A nurturing, collaborative community of artists

Occasional mentorship, performance opportunities, and industry partnerships

💜 Our impact:
Each month, Interim provides 1,000+ free class spots to dancers. Every $60 donation unlocks a 2-hour studio session that can support up to 45 dancers.

We’re proud to be artist-run, community-driven, and fueled by generosity. Everyone on our team donates their time because we believe in this mission—and the dancers we serve.
