Karla Lima

Art Director at Interior Design Magazine

Karla Lima has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries and roles. Karla started their career as a Graphic Designer at the Brazilian Olympic Committee in 2002. Karla then worked as a Graphic Designer at Soter Design from 2001 to 2003. In 2005, Karla joined Cookie Magazine - Condé Nast as a Graphic Designer. Karla later transitioned to Interior Design magazine, where they served as a Senior Graphic Designer from 2007 to 2015, and subsequently as an Art Director starting in 2015. Alongside their magazine roles, Karla also worked as an Adjunct Teacher at St. John's University from 2018 to 2021. Currently, they work as a Freelance Art Director and Graphic Designer starting in 2018.

Karla Lima holds a Master's degree in Communications Design from Pratt Institute, which they obtained from 2003 to 2005. Karla also completed their undergraduate studies in Visual Communications and Industrial Design at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro from 1998 to 2001. In addition, Karla pursued a pre-bachelor's program in Business at Columbia University from 2007 to 2008. Prior to that, they studied Computer Science at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro from 1997 to 1998. Karla completed their high school education at Colégio Santo Agostinho from 1991 to 1996.
