Rebecca Thienes has a diverse work experience in the field of interior design and magazine publishing. Rebecca began their career as an Editorial Assistant at Hearst Magazines in 1999 and worked their way up to become a Senior Market Editor. In this role, they were responsible for market coverage in various areas such as design, beauty, fashion, and architecture. Rebecca also served as the Home Building & Architecture Editor, where they managed building and design projects for Country Living magazine.
In 2009, Rebecca Thienes started their own venture, Rebecca Thienes and Thienes and Levent, where they worked as a Project Manager and Interior Design Consultant. Rebecca handled project management for residential renovations in Manhattan and Brooklyn, and also developed interior design schemes for private clients. Rebecca worked in partnership with designer Fiyel Levent.
From 2011 to 2017, Rebecca Thienes served as the Design Editor, Producer, and Writer for their own company. Finally, in 2018, they joined Interior Design Magazine as a Senior Market Editor and eventually became the Market Director in 2019.
