John Geistlinger, MBA has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in digital health and informatics. John currently holds the position of Corporate Director, Digital Health CIO Services at the Interior Health Authority since January 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Corporate Director, Clinical Informatics - Acute & Ambulatory Systems from October 2016 to January 2022. John also worked as a Manager for Imaging and Pharmacy Systems and later as Manager, IT PACS and Radiology Systems at Interior Health Authority. In these roles, they managed teams responsible for maintaining and implementing systems related to diagnostic imaging, pharmacy, lab, biomedical, and health information systems. Additionally, they have experience as a Project Manager, leading the upgrade and centralization of a dictation system and the rollout of a voice recognition system for diagnostic imaging/radiology.
Before joining Interior Health Authority, John Geistlinger worked at TELUS as a Trainer and Network Support for internet and 611 support from July 2002 to March 2005.
John Geistlinger, MBA obtained a Master of Business Administration degree in Innovation Leadership from the University of Fredericton (2015-2018). Prior to that, they earned a Diploma in Network Engineering Technology from NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) during the years 2002-2004.
