Michael Wheadon has extensive work experience in healthcare and quality improvement. Michael began their career as a Medical Laboratory Technologist at Alberta Health Services in 2005, specializing in various areas of laboratory analysis. Michael later served as Vice President of the Saskatchewan Society of Medical Laboratory Technologists, ensuring the licensing and qualification of medical laboratory professionals in the province.
Wheadon then joined the Canadian Patient Safety Institute, where they held roles as Knowledge Translation and Implementation Science Expert Faculty and Infection Prevention and Control Expert Faculty. Furthermore, they hold a Hazard Identification, Assessment and Control certification from the Alberta Municipal Health and Safety Association.
