Carolyn Watson

Carolyn Watson is the Director of Orchestras at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Carolyn currently holds the position of Music Director at La Porte County Symphony Orchestra, Principal Guest Conductor at Kansas City Chamber Orchestra, and Conductor at various organizations such as Lyric Opera Of Kansas City, Kansas City Ballet, Austin Symphony Orchestra, and Interlochen Center for the Arts. With a background in music education and conducting, Carolyn has also worked as a Conductor at Cape Symphony, Traverse Symphony Orchestra, and Amarillo Opera. Watson holds a PhD in Performance (Conducting) from the University of Sydney, along with other degrees in music education and conducting.
