Instructor Of Low Brass at Interlochen

Riccobono Thomas has extensive experience in the field of music education and conducting. Since 2018, Riccobono has served as the Conductor and Artistic Director of the Benzie Area Symphony Orchestra, while also holding the position of Instructor of Low Brass at Interlochen Center for the Arts since 1996. Previous roles include Artistic Director for Encore Wind Symphony (2009-2014), Conductor for Gaylord Chamber Orchestra (2008-2010), Traverse Youth Orchestra (2005-2008), and Northwestern Michigan College Concert Band (2002-2008). Early in their career, Riccobono was also an Instructor of Low Brass at Florida Community College at Jacksonville (1993-1994). Educationally, Riccobono holds a Performance Certificate in Trombone Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music, a Master of Music from Penn State University, and a Bachelor of Music from the Eastman School of Music.
