Kenneth Galeckas

Board Member at InterMed, P.A.

Before joining InterMed, I had the privilege of being teaching faculty at a large residency program. My wife, two teenagers, and I love living in Maine. We especially love its beautiful beaches, snowy mountains and great restaurant scene.

In addition to being a board-certified dermatologist, I am also a fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgeon. Mohs surgery is a precise method of removing skin cancers and offers the highest cure rate of any treatment available. I have received extensive training in dermatologic oncology including tumor removal and interpreting tissue slides with complex tumor biology. I perform a wide breadth of cutaneous surgical reconstructions ranging from simple closures to flaps, grafts, and complicated multi-step repairs. I strive to provide compassionate, state-of-the-art care in a humanistic and ethical manner.

At InterMed, I can focus on patients and I’m lucky to work with a great clinical team. I have fun every day I come to work and love taking care of patients. I was honored to be chosen as one of Maine’s top specialists in the 2013 Down East magazine physician survey. I am active in teaching medical students and residents and volunteer for various skin cancer screenings throughout the year. I look forward to meeting and taking care of you.
