Matthew Lester

Matthew Lester currently serves as a Non Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee at Intermediate Capital Group since March 2021, and has been the Chair of Kier Group plc since January 2020. Previous roles include Non Executive Director positions at Capita from February 2017 to August 2022 and Man Group from May 2011 to March 2020, where Matthew acted as Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee. Additionally, from September 2017 to January 2020, Matthew was a Non Executive Board Member at Barclays. Matthew held the position of Group CFO at Royal Mail from November 2010 to July 2017 and ICAP from May 2006 to November 2010. Earlier career highlights include roles at Diageo as Group Finance Controller and Treasurer, and various positions within Corporate Finance at Kleinwort Benson and Dresdner Kleinwort. Matthew Lester earned a BA Hons in Economics from Bangor University from 1981 to 1984.
