John Tynes

John Tynes, MD, MBA, currently serves as Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at St. Joseph Hospital within Intermountain Healthcare, a position held since October 2019. Previously, John Tynes was the Chief Medical Officer at HCA Healthcare, overseeing a 350-bed community hospital, and at Centura Health, ensuring quality medical care at multiple community hospitals. Early in the career, John Tynes created a successful OB-GYN practice at Sutter Health and contributed to the establishment of a community clinic. John Tynes holds a Doctor of Medicine from UT Southwestern Medical Center, an MBA in Health Industry Leadership from Regis University, and is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University.
