Ryan Johnston

Ryan Johnston, RN, BSN, is an intensive care unit registered nurse at Intermountain Healthcare since June 2019, bringing extensive expertise in post-operative recovery, advanced cardiac care, and trauma management. With over 120 hours of direct patient management involving Impella and IABP, Ryan holds multiple certifications including NIHSS, TNCC, ACLS, and has been recognized as a Daisy Award nominee. Ryan serves as an ICU Clinical Coach, training new nursing graduates, and actively participates in the Hospital Advisory Committee and Unit Practice Council, focusing on enhancing patient outcomes and addressing hospital-wide challenges. Prior experience includes roles as a healthcare sergeant in the United States Army, and various nursing and tutoring positions while studying at Brigham Young University - Idaho. Ryan earned a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Brigham Young University - Idaho and an Associate's Degree in Health Sciences from Kaplan University.
