Michelle Sorensen

Michelle Sorensen has worked in various positions since 2003. Michelle began their career as the Owner/Principal Lending Manager at Freedom Financial Solutions, where they supervised, hired, and trained all employees, used creative problem solving, and provided excellent customer service. Michelle also created and implemented monthly marketing projects and training seminars. In 2007, they became the Branch Manager at Spectrum Home Services, where they managed and opened a new branch office in Utah County, hired and trained employees, and marketed to aging services. From 2007 to 2012, they worked as the Office Manager at Huntington Family Dental, where they scheduled 70-80 patients per week, implemented marketing ideas and materials, and used a practice management system. From 2015 to 2019, they worked as the Area Manager at BYU, where they interviewed, hired, trained, supervised, and mentored 4 staff employees and 24 part-time student employees. Michelle was also responsible for planning and implementing detailed directions for building care prior to and during the Mission Leadership Seminar. In 2019, they became the MTC Travel Office Manager at Brigham Young University, and in 2022 they became the Account Manager at Intermountain Nutrition.

Michelle Sorensen attended Utah Valley University from Fall 1987 to Spring 1988, where they studied Family and Consumer Sciences/Human Sciences. Michelle then attended Mary Kawakami Beauty College from 1986 to 1987, where they obtained their Licensed Cosmotologist and Cosmetology, Barber/Styling, and Nail Instructor certifications. Michelle later attended Brigham Young University in 2015, where they completed General Education. In addition, Michelle has obtained several certifications from LinkedIn, including "Dealing with Difficult People in Your Office" (September 2020), "Google Forms Essential Training" (July 2020), "HR Guidelines Everyone Should Know" (July 2020), "Google Slides Essential Training" (June 2020), and "PowerPoint: Designing Better Slides" (June 2020). Michelle also obtained a Cosmetology: Barbering certification from the State of Utah in October 2021.
