Emmanuel Elebesunu is an emerging medical laboratory scientist currently serving as an Intern Medical Laboratory Scientist at National Hospital Abuja, where advanced diagnostic techniques are implemented, particularly in molecular diagnosis of tuberculosis. With extensive project management experience as a Project Assistant and board member at Society for Disease Prevention, Inc., Emmanuel coordinated the SFDP Africa AIDS Project, supporting over 450 individuals living with HIV/AIDS. As an accomplished medical journalist, over 30 health promotion pieces have been published, significantly increasing public engagement on the SFDP medical blog. Additionally, involvement as an HIVR4P Journalism Fellow and multiple fellowship roles, including 2023 YPB Fellow and 2021 CGI-U Fellow, demonstrate a commitment to professional development across various health and advocacy sectors. Emmanuel's leadership is further highlighted through the founding of Biomedical Students Mentorship and Research Society and active participation in antimicrobial resistance advocacy with the British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy.
